Pick N Save

GRAEF was retained by Spiegelhoff’s Pick ’N Save in Burlington, Wisconsin, to provide site/civil and environmental engineering services for a new 45,000 square foot store in the Village of Walworth. The store and related sitework and infrastructure were to be designed to allow for store expansion and additional retail businesses on the 27-acre parcel.

GRAEF provided a storm water management plan to satisfy the Village’s concerns about conveyance of drainage from 360 acres of the Village through the site. A Phase I environmental assessment was performed by GRAEF to assure the owners that there were no environmental liabilities associated with the site.

GRAEF also provided detailed designs of alternative store, roadway, and parking lot layouts. Sanitary sewers, storm sewers, and watermains were also designed for the site. Because the store will be located along U.S. Highway 14, GRAEF prepared a traffic impact analysis for the entrance road, for approval by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. In addition, topographic survey and construction layout services were provided.
