University of Wisconsin - Hillel Student Center
The new Hillel Student Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is located in a residential neighborhood adjacent to the campus. The Zilber Building, named after Joseph and Vera Zilber, is a comfortable place for Jewish students and other members of the community to gather and interact. The building is modern, sustainable and reflective of the Jewish culture.
GRAEF was retained by the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and La Dallman Architects Inc. to provide site/civil engineering and landscape services. The stormwater management plan incorporated sustainable design through a green roof and rain garden.
