Joseph Campione Enterprises

GRAEF worked with the Redmond Company to complete a design/build addition for Joseph Campione Enterprises, a family owned bakery of ‘heat and serve’ breads. To keep pace with the growing demand for its products, the company chose to renovate its existing building and add on nearly 50,000 square feet of new manufacturing space.

Our staff’s knowledge of the specialized design requirements for freezer construction and food processing plants was one of the key elements that allowed the design/build team to meet three primary project challenges:
· Keeping the bakery fully operational during renovation and construction.
· Creating interior spaces that are easy to maintain and wash down to comply with strict food industry standards.
· Designing unique elements to accommodate the installation of specialized process equipment.

The project team designed and constructed temporary walls and other structures and followed a closely coordinated schedule to avoid interrupting any vital business operations. GRAEF provided civil and structural engineering services for the project and designed the mat slab, structural steel framing and other elements distinctive to the construction of freezer warehouse.
