Del Prado Boulevard Bridges
GRAEF provided structural design services and prepared detailed plans for the construction of five bridges on this project. The designs consisted of three-span bridges with continuous cast-in-place decks designed to conform with the AASHTO LRFD Specifications. Complex geometrics included seawalls, clearances along the navigable canal, skewed substructures, ornamental combination railings with Texas parapets, utility accommodations, multi-use paths on and below the structures, turning lanes, and construction staging. All designs, plans, and specifications were prepared in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards. Construction services were also part of the contract including inspections, certifications, shop drawing reviews, punch lists and close-out documents.
