Classic Residence by Hyatt
Classic Residence by Hyatt is a retirement residential community located on a 26-acre parcel on Chicago’s suburban North Shore. The project consists of a low-rise main building with 251 residential units and common areas; 18 assisted living apartments; 45 detached one and two unit villas; and adjacent Health Center for continuing care residents with 38 skilled nursing beds and 13 Alzheimer’s beds. The main building is a low rambling structure. The main area of the complex is the commons, with a central clock tower, around which the entire community is focused. Residential wings extend to form a series of courtyards. Parking for the project is almost entirely located below grade with 270 parking spaces, thus allowing for an extensive, beautifully landscaped site. Villa units that relate to the adjacent single-family homes surround the main building. Each villa has a street-facing porch and a side-loaded garage.
